LIT Financial Literacy Digital Platform

September 19, 2018

Yale students can now access LIT, a financial literacy digital platform, which covers the basic financial concepts that every student should know.

LIT teaches students how to manage their money while in school and prepare for financial life after graduation. Over the course of ~80 videos, LIT guides students through seven major personal finance topics: Money Mindset, Cash Flow & Net Worth, Credit & Loans, Taxes, Insurance, Investing, and Retirement. On top of the core curriculum, students also have access to live webinars on trending money topics, as well as direct interaction with Tara Falcone ‘17, its creator, via comments and social media.

As a first-gen, low-income student turned finance professional, Tara understands how difficult it is to navigate financial challenges while a student. So she designed LIT to empower students to rise up and take ownership of their financial futures.

A Yale Daily News story features LIT’s developer, Tara Falcone ‘11.
